Simple questions asked at the right moment can change the course of your life. God Is a Girl Dad By Design™ is a great example of divine timing. This brand began with three providential questions.

The first came during a conversation with a friend about the real barriers women and girls face: misogyny, silencing, unequal expectations, and the walls placed in front of women who are trying to fulfill their calling. She said, “You know God is the ultimate Girl Dad, right?” The words struck something deep inside me. I said, “I’m putting that on a shirt.” I wanted a courageous, visible reminder that El Roi, the God Who Sees, loves God's daughters, knows our worth, and desires us to flourish in every space we are called to enter.

 

The second came from the owner of the print shop where I ordered my first T-shirts. He looked at the designs and asked, “Do you sell these?” I glanced around his shop, which was full of inspirational and faith-based shirts. Then I looked back at him and said, “Yes, I do,” even though there was no business, no brand, and no plan. However, I immediately started wearing those first shirts as I traveled, sharing the messages wherever I went.

Life got busy, and the idea rested for a season. Almost a year later, my sister asked the third question: “Did you forget that you own the ‘godisagirldad.shop’ URL?” I had forgotten. She told me to stop waiting for the perfect moment and to launch on Father’s Day. That push led to the official launch of God Is a Girl Dad By Design™ on Father’s Day 2026.

One of the most meaningful moments that day was giving one of the first shirts to my own dad. Watching him proudly wear it reminded me how powerful it is when fathers and allies truly support God’s daughters.

What started as a few T-shirts has become this brand and this movement: for women, girls, and every person willing to stand beside us.
